Was sind die wichtigsten Bestandteile der extrazellulären Matrix?

Definition: bei der extrazellulären Matrix handelt es sich nicht um eine umstrukturierte Ansammlung von Makromolekülen zwischen den Zellen (Intrazellularraum), sondern um ein sehr komplexes Environment aus verschiedenen Fasern, die in eine Grundsubstanz eingebettet sind. Die extrazelluläre Matrix ist essentielle für die Verankerung der Zellen und die Formgebung der Gewebe


Elemente:

 

Fasern: Kollagenfasern, retikuläre Fasern, elastische Fasern

 

Grundsubstanz:

Glykosaminoglykane, Proteoglykane, Adhäsionsproteine, Wasser, Elektrolyte

  • Cytoskeleton (induces cell migration, intracellular transporshape and resistance to deformation, interacts with cell membranes...)
  • Nucelus (regulates activities by controlling gene expression, contains genetic material, nucleus has pores to enable transport)
  • DNA (2 polynucleotide chains, interact via hydrogen bonds)
  • Gene expression (DNA->Transcription->RNA)
  • Translation (Ribosomes read mRNA  -> neighboring AS form peptide bonds)

  • Cell-cell connections (short distance)

         - cell-cell attachments (sealing: stomach, blood vessels, skin, intestin)

         - cell-cell gap junctions (protein channels: transport of water, ions, small molecules)

  • Cell-cell communication (long distance) via soluble signaling molecules
