1. Geographic Factors: Climatic factors including heat, cold, atmospheric conditions and drought, all influence on man's livelihood.

The level of land and its gene ~ al contour also influence the development of agric and industry. Perhaps by affecting general transport and ease of communication.


2. Biological Factors. 

Plan! and animals form a pa1t of man's non-environment which he modifies and uses in ways that are culturally determined and as they influence him, he uses them in turn for various purposes. He modifies them to serve his purpose creating interaction between biological and cultural factors.

Human beings themselves are a part of man's biological environment, both changes in the genetic character of human beings and changes in the density, composition and numbers of the population can be important factors in social change, for instance, changes in density, numbers and composition of human being do have a definite influence on social change.


3. Cultural factors: Contact with different cultures, diffusion, invention, discovery and borrowing are sources from which some changes in society emerge. As factors interplay with others, they are significant in the process of social change.
