The relaxed sitting with friends on a meadow or by a river is difficult to imagine life for most students without. This is exactly what you can do at the Greifswald Museum Harbor. With a view of the Ryck, this is probably one of the most beautiful places in Greifswald. Here you can enjoy a cozy barbecue or, alternatively, you can satisfy your hunger on one of the catering ships. Another tip, but not an absolute insider tip, is a trip to the Eldena monastery ruins. The trip there is a definite must for every newcomer to Greifswald! These are the rust-red remains of a Cistercian monastery founded in 1199. It is not only of outstanding cultural and architectural historical significance, but is still used today for events such as theater performances. The rust-red ruin Eldena near Greifswald is also a wonderful photo backdrop.
