Instrument air is used e.g. to open/close valves.

Since the pressure opens the valves, there is counteracting spring, closing the valve automatically.

What does this angle depend on?
Implementing them in a sligtly tilted position.
It depends on the diameter of the valve.

I have 3 welding spots instead of 4.
+!! a dead end is prevented (if the valve is closed)

I try to minimize my dead-end length that gets created when the valve is closed. -> I do so by the 3D rule.

  • Set up quicker
  • Feature less surface
  • take up less space
  • Need fewer welds
  • Less deadleg (totvolumen)
  • Less documentation (one document per piece)
