TUI even has its own student club, which was founded in 1990. Even outside the regular opening times, there are always attractive leisure activities at the ILSC, such as joint excursions or barbecues and games evenings. In addition, the Impuls Association, which was founded by students, organizes the Impuls Festival in Ilmenau every year. The Technical University of Ilmenau is largely a campus university, which means that you have most of the university buildings and facilities compactly distributed over one site and not across the city. The TU Ilmenau campus is located on Ehrenberg, which is in the east of the city of Ilmenau - here you will find most of the university buildings and the student residences of the Thuringia Student Union. There is also another, smaller campus on Weimarer-Straße - the Georg-Schmidt-Technikum: here you will find the Curie, Faraday, Helios and X-ray buildings. The names of the buildings already indicate that the technical courses gather here.
