Yes. The MHH offers you the opportunity to switch to the Hannover Medical School for the practical year (PJ). In this case, a consultation with the PJ office must be arranged and then an application for a higher semester must be carried out. There is also the option of remaining enrolled at your home university and completing one or more tertials at the MHH. The PY places are then booked via the PY portal.

Can I study at the Hannover Medical School without an Abitur?

At the MHH there are several possibilities to apply for an undergraduate degree (human or dental medicine) even without a high school diploma. The prerequisite for this is either a general university entrance qualification, a subject-specific university entrance qualification or the so-called advanced technical college entrance qualification. Applications to the Hannover Medical School are made centrally across Germany via the University Start Portal of the Foundation for University Admission.
