Man unterscheidet 4 Bereiche :
1. Selbstkompetenz

1. Kognitive interkulturelle Kompetenz -> allg. Wissen Über Kultur und ihren Einfluss auf Menschen, Fakten wissen über bestimmte Länder/Kulturen, Kenntnisse der Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der eigenen u. fremden Kultur.
2. Verhaltensbezogene interkulturelle Kompetenz -> erlernen und Einüben neuer Verhaltensmuster, Fähigkeit zum Aufbau sozialer Beziehungen, Problemlösungskompetenz
3. Affektive interkulturelle Kompetenz -> Veränderung bestehende Einstellungen, Werte, Interessen, Wertschätzungen. Fähigkeit im Umgang mit negativen Gefühlen aus der Interaktion mit Menschen aus anderen Kulturen.

Trainings können mittels welcher drei Methoden durchgeführt werden ?

Distributive Methoden = Trainingsinhalte werden vom Trainer weitergegeben, meist als reines Faktenwissen. Bsp: durch Vorlesung. Distributive Methoden findet man bei kulturtheoretischen u zielkulturellen Trainings .
Interaktive Methoden = Trainingsinhalte werden von Trainer und Teilnehmern gemeinsam erarbeitet. Bsp: durch Rollenspiele. Interaktive Methoden eignen sich zum Erlernen des Umgangs mit Unsicherheiten in anderen Kulturen.
Kollaborative Methoden = Trainingsinhalte werden von den Teilnehmern größtenteils selbstständig erarbeitet, der Trainer fungiert er als Lerncoach. Bsp: gemeinsames Arbeiten in multikulturellen Projekten. Kollaborative Methoden eignen sich zum Erlangen praktischer interkultureller Methoden- und Managementkompetenz.

Wichtig —> bei der Auswahl der Methode muss man sowohl die kulturellen Hintergründe der Teilnehmer als auch die Lerninhalte und deren Ziele berücksichtigen.
