  • It ascends in the groove in the posterior aspect of the submandibular gland to lie deep to the mandible.
  • Then, it curves downwards and froward, passing between the submandibular gland and the body of the mandible.
  •  It hocks around the base of the mandible to ascends in the face just in front of the anterior inferior angle of masseter muscle.
